The holiday setting and innovative circumstances of UNWILLING ANGEL cause this enjoyable story to inspire while it also delights.

With its fascinating storyline and dynamically engaging characters, UNWILLING ANGEL will have readers smiling plus being touched by the earnest premise of this holiday tale. The conversations between characters will amuse while the emotional aspects will stir your own feelings, as Caitlyn Hunter brings a story about hope and love to life.

As a young child, Emma Bradshaw came to comprehend she was different from others when she realized everyone did not possess psychic abilities like her. She learned to keep her gift a secret from those around her, yet Emma has a difficult time keeping her surprise hidden when she sees a dead man watching her one day, a first for even her. The elementary school teacher intended to hopefully finish her first novel during the Christmas break as she has done nothing special with others since her husband died, but the appearance of the deceased well-known author who says he is now an angel certainly disrupts her plans.

When he was a writer, Ted “Mac” McNabb could always create a satisfactory plot for his stories. Unfortunately, as an Apprentice Angel, he is not the one calling the shots and must do as instructed by the Archangel Gabriel on his first assignment if he wants to ever reach his own Personal Heaven. Mac would rather concentrate on what he feels is harsh personal problems, but he begins to see the wisdom of following the strict directives if he wants to finally achieve his individual goal. Now he just has to convince Emma to once again be aware of what is important in her life and strive for it.

Caitlyn Hunter knows how to craft stories filled with convincing scenarios even when the plot is remarkably miraculous. The opening sentence of UNWILLING ANGEL will draw you into the paranormal aspects of the story, but it is the emotional issues confronting the depressed heroine and an unlikely angel which will keep you reading with much anticipation. This inventive author has a way with expressing the thoughts of her characters which will completely pull you into the lively discussions taking place throughout the story. The rousing verbal exchanges created by Caitlyn Hunter for her characters often come across as humorous yet with plenty of underlying meaning. There were times when I found myself laughing out loud from the cleverly worded banter between Emma and Mac, and then there were moments when their genuine heartaches had me feeling their sorrow. However, there is never a time when this likable pair did not have me caring about the outcome of their venture together. With some skillfully depicted scenes, the futures of Emma and Mac take on a true-to-life feel and had me wanting to consider each situation could actually take place in the real world. UNWILLING ANGEL enchants with its heartwarming message of believing in the extraordinary.
