Snowbound by Larissa Ione
Robyn Montgomery was the nerdy fat girl in high school, and those feelings resurrect in the face of coordinating the charity auction for her class reunion. She is the music director of a local radio station; she is strong, confident and independent, though no one predicted she would become a success after high school. When it comes to her class reunion she still has the inferiority complex she suffered through school, and her boss, who also happens to be an ex-boyfriend doesn’t help her self-esteem any. Promising to escort Robyn to the charity auction Damon cries off at the last minute, claiming a previous engagement. When she learns the real reason he wants her to work for him she is furious and insulted. It looks like one man may have a genuine interest in Robyn though, sinfully sexy Sean Trenton.
Sean earned Olympic medals for skiing but a tragic accident ended his career. His self esteem hits the skids until he runs into a knock-out woman who makes him feel alive again. Robyn is his complete opposite but she makes him want her in an astounding way. But will he be able to gain the confidence in himself that he needs to keep Robyn with him?
Snowbound is an emotional story that is not so much about the sex as it is about the romance. Author, Larissa Ione shows a knack for telling it like it is in the real world but adds her own touch to make it fabulous fiction. Robyn and Sean have internal struggles that challenge the human spirit, but come out triumphant over the situations that left them wounded. The romance is emotional, tender and sensual in its intensity. Both Sean and Robyn are lovable characters that bring forth a few tears and a joyous cheer when they triumph over the obstacles placed in the path of love. Snowbound is a well crafted example of the power of love over adversity and is well worth the time and money spent. Bravo, Ms. Ione.
